Flavours of South Australia is a new book from Smudge Publishing, highlighting the culinary delights in our fair state.

FlavoursofSA_01

In this book you’ll travel from the city, to Adelaide Hills, the Barossa, Clare Valley & Flinders Ranges, Eyre Peninsula, Kangaroo Island, Fleurieu Peninsula and the Limestone coast.

More than 120 restaurants, bars, cellar doors and producers are highlighted, with detailed descriptions, history, maps and recipes from some of our top chefs, to tantalise our taste buds.

Flicking through my copy, I was delighted to see so many places I had been to, some I hadn’t been to for some time, and some I hadn’t heard of. (But not many!) I think I’ll be making a list of places to visit soon!

We’re so lucky here in South Australia to have such a beautiful food and wine industry and this is captured beautifully in Flavours of South Australia.

Adelaide’s own Christina Soong from The Hungry Australian worked on this book, producing some breathtaking photos not just of food, but venues and the State.

This book is just beautiful, and with 561 pages, it would be a perfect gift for someone special. It retails for $80, with $5 going to the Pinery bushfire appeal. It can be purchased at many of the outlets featured in the book, along with bookstores and from Smudge Publishing.
