After the success of Sushi Plant on West Terrace, Adelaide, another store has opened, this time at the northern suburbs, at Modbury Triangle Shopping Centre, Modbury.

With a menu covering sushi, sashimi, soups and rices, noodles and skewers, there’s something to satisfy everyone’s tastebuds.

Sushi Planet prides itself on using fresh un-frozen Australian produce, including fish, every day and each dish is prepared fresh, once ordered.

They don’t offer a huge menu as their philosophy is quality over quantity and this was evident in the beautiful food we sampled at the opening of Sushi Plant, Modbury.

We enjoyed prawn nigiri…

Kingfish nigiri…

Tuna nigiri…

Beef tataki, thinly sliced beef with spring onion, sesame seeds and sesame dressing…

Topped rolls included shrimp with mango…

Shrimp roll with avocado…

Aburi salmon roll… avocado, snow peas and cucumber with miso aioli

Aburi beef nigiri…

Miso marinated salmon chargrilled skewer

And have a look at this beautiful fresh sashimi. So fresh and luscious!

The space is light and airy with metal, wood and concrete the main elements with an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs at work. There are booths to sit at, as well at tables and benches, including along the open kitchen.

** I was an invited guest.
