As the weather cools down, and the thick coats and gloves come out, we crave comfort food.
And Cibo has you covered with their new indulgent Winter Providence Menu. Available at Cibo now, the new menu adds to the already favourite staples.
Cibo is now promoting their close links with South Australian producers including Kangaroo Paw, who supplies olive oil, Beerenberg who supplies tomato chutney, Barossa Fine Foods who supply salami and La Casa del Formaggio who supply mascarpone cheese!
Something which caught my eye were the Bombolonis. Soft filled doughnuts, with Nutella or there’s a new lamington flavor!
Cakes feature on the winter menu including the cute Neapolitan cupcake;
A mascarpone cheesecake. So creamy!
A chocolate and salted caramel torte;
Fetta di caramella – a crunchy caramel slice!
And when the croissants are made each day there’s a little bit of pastry left over. This isn’t wasted – it’s turned into pane di prosciutto e formaggio. Flaky pastry with ham, cheese and parmesan. So moreish!
The focaccia creations include:
Foccaccia di pollo e pancetta;
But it was the pizzas that really caught my attention. The dough is hand stretched with the starter dough originally from Italy. The bases are pre-cooked and the toppings are added in store. And look at those beautiful luscious toppings!
They’ll also have rich soups plus the favourites such as cannoli;
Those pizzas look yum-mo.
Looking at the photos again makes my mouth water!
